The PPC Steering Committee is composed by Mario Martone (President and Assistant Professor at King’s College), Angelo Esposito (Vice President and Assistant Professor at Sapienza University), Chiara Toldo (Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University), Mauro Valli (INFN research staff) and Pietro Benetti Genolini (Research Associate at King’s College). Below you can find more information about our members:

Mario member

Mario

Mario works in mathematical physics, specifically the study of the structure of quantum field theory and string theories. He obtained a bachelor's and master's degree at the University Federico II in Naples and a PhD from Cornell University in New York. After a few years of postdoc, including an experience at the University of Texas in Austin and at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, he is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of mathematics of King's College London.

Angelo member

Angelo

Angelo deals with phenomenology, in particular hadronic physics, the search for dark matter and effective theories for collective excitations. After having obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees at Sapienza University in Roma, he got his PhD from Columbia University in New York. He has been a postdoc at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Sapienza University.

Chiara member

Chiara

Chiara works in theoretical high energy physics, in particular in string theory, holography and black holes. After earning her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Padua, she obtained her PhD from Utrecht University. After postdoc experiences at Columbia University, the Kavli Institute in Santa Barbara and University of Amsterdam, she is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University.

Mauro member

Mauro

Mauro studies the origin of flavor of quarks and leptons, as well as what the dark universe consists of. He obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree at Sapienza, University of Rome, and a PhD from the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste. After international postdoc experiences at the University of California, Irvine, and at the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics in Stony Brook, he is now permanent research staff at INFN in Rome.

Pietro Benedetti Genolini

Pietro

Pietro works in theoretical high energy physics, in particular in AdS/CFT and quantum field theory. He obtained a bachelor's degree at the University of Milano, a master's degree at the University of Cambridge, and a PhD at the University of Oxford. He has been a postdoc at the University of Cambridge, and currently at King’s College London.
